PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 16, 2013) – Motorcycle gunmen shot dead a 43-year old man in an attack in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province in southern Philippines, police said Monday.
Police said Roger Carreon was drinking with his friends in the house of Roselyn Navaja in the village of Banale when the gunman arrived and shot him. The attacker escaped on a motorcycle driven by another man.
His terrified friends rushed him to hospital, but Carreon, a native of Ozamis City, died along the way. The motive of the attack is still unknown, but police said it is investigating the murder. Police did not give additional details about the victim.
Police investigators said they recovered five bullet shells from a .45-caliber pistol from the house. No individual has claimed responsibility for the attack. (Mindanao Examiner)
