ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives arrested five alleged drug personalities and seized from them PHP443,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate drug operations in two villages here on Tuesday.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bicol spokesperson Cotton Talento said Wednesday that Emmanuel Lopes, Harvey Manibog, Henry Jacob Jr., and Michael Millena were nabbed in a raid by PDEA operatives at a cock farm inside Sunrise Subdivision, Barangay Cruzada at around 4:40 p.m.
The raiding team, armed with a search warrant, swooped down on the cock farm where a house was believed to be used as a drug den and seized 15 plastic sachets with suspected shabu weighing 15 grams and estimated to be worth PHP103,000, Talento said.
Meanwhile, in a buy-bust operation along Erquiaga St. in Barangay Baybay here, John Louie Cedeno was caught selling knot-tied shabu worth PHP340,000 at around 5:15 p.m. Talento said.
Cedeno is a high-value target drug pusher included in the PDEA watch list.
The suspects are now in the custody of PDEA awaiting the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.(By Mar Serrano)
