Pa blows self up in Zambo after quarrel with wife; 2 others killed in blast

Editor January 10, 2012

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 10, 2012) – A man blew himself up inside their house following a quarrel Tuesday with his wife, who also died along with their son, in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, police said.

Four of the couple’s children were also wounded in the blast that destroyed the house in the seaside village of Rio Hondo. The blast occurred before dawn, police said.

Police said the couple had a quarrel following an altercation over family problems. The man, Agsali Subbaani, then rushed to a room and took dynamite and exploded this in the house.

The man’s wife Jannuka Subbaani and her 17-year old son, Pansidal Agsali, were killed on the spot while four others Goa Agsalim 7; Puja Agsali, 9; Singa Agsali, 10;  and Pasig Agasali, 11, were wounded from the powerful explosion.

It was not immediately known where the explosive came from or who sold it to the man.  (Ely Dumaboc)
