ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 6, 2013) – Local policemen have arrested two men – one of them has been linked to a series of gun attacks – in an undercover drug sting in Zamboanga City, officials said.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said Musa Jailani and his son Jefrey were arrested in the village of Talon-Talon by a team of cracked policemen led by SPO2 Efren Gregorio.
Huesca said the duo allegedly sold methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as “shabu” to an undercover agent. The marked money used in the sting was also recovered, he said.
“Confiscated from their possession were two pieces of plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the 500 peso marked money. Musa is included in the (police) watch list in the series of shooting incidents in Barangays Talon-Talon and Mampang,” Huesca said.
Police did not say if the two suspects were armed at the time of their arrest. (Mindanao Examiner)
