ZAMBOANGA CITY – A 57-year old father stabbed and wounded a suitor of his daughter inside their house in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said Tuesday.
Police said Jose Cerna attacked Abjel Quijano, 32, because of his repeated attempts to court the woman who already has a boyfriend. The stabbing took place at dawn Monday when Quijano visited the woman’s house in the village of Talon-Talon.
Cerna also disliked Quijano, according to the police, adding, the victim was rushed to the hospital because of a wounded he sustained in the back. Police said both Cerna and Quijano agreed to settle the case out of court. (Mindanao Examiner)
