
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 9, 2013) – Police were searching for a man who shot and wounded a motorcycle taxi driver in Pagadian City in the southern Filipino province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Police said the attacker shot Jerry Largo, 42, at Purok Madanihon in Balangasan District. Largo was able to escape his attacker and flagged down a tricycle and went straight to the hospital.
The motive of the attack is still unknown and police are investigating the case. Police investigators recovered bullet casings of .45-caliber pistol.
Largo told investigators that he was talking to a friend when he heard gunshots about 15 meters away from them and saw the man fired at him twice.
Gun attacks are almost a daily occurrence in Pagadian City where hired killers are actively operating and many of the cases remain unsolved. (Mindanao Examiner)
