
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Sept. 22, 2013) – Police said a 29-year old man was shot and critically wounded in an attack in downtown Pagadian City in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Police said Cyriel Rizaldo was shot in the head in Agora Market by a lone gunman who escaped on a motorcycle after the attack. Rizaldo was rushed to Mendero Hospital after the gunman fled.
The victim, according to the police, was a dispatcher of public utility vehicles in the market, but the motive of the attack is still unknown.
Police investigators said a bullet casing of a .45-caliber pistol was recovered from the scene.
Investigation is going on. Gun attacks and killings perpetrated by hired murderers are common in Pagadian City and many of the cases remain unresolved. (Mindanao Examiner)
