Paolo Duterte, dedma lang sa pasabog ni De Lima

DAVAO CITY – Ipinagkibit balikat lamang kahapon ni presidential son at Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte ang alegasyon ng diumano’y isa sa hitman ng binansagang Davao Death Squad (DDS) na siya ang nagpapatay sa bilyonaryong si Richard King noon June 2014.
 
Ito ang tahasang sinabi ni Edgar Matobato na siyang inilabas ni Senator Leila de Lima sa hearing sa Senado kahapon. Sa alegsasyon ni Edgar, sinabi nitong magkaribal sa babae – na may-ari ng isang hamburger chain sa Davao – sina Paolo at King.
 
“What De Lima and this certain Matobato say in public are bare allegations in the absence of proof. They are mere hearsay. I will not dignify with an answer the accusations of a madman,” ani Paolo.
 
Ani Edgar, ibinintang pa umano sa kanya ang pagpatay kay King matapos itong kumalas sa DDS dahil nakukusensya na umano sa dami ng pinatay, kabilang ang 4 na tauhan ni dating Davao Rep. Prospero Nograles na tumakbo bilang mayor kontra sa ama na ngayon ay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte. Ngunit itinanggi naman ng anak ni Nograles na si Rep. Karlo Nograles ang alegsasyon ni Edgar na mayroon naganap na pagdukot at pagpatay sa kanilang grupo.
 

“I don’t know what this guy is talking about. From the time I was chief-of-staff of former Speaker Prospero C. Nograles to the time I was elected as congressman, no supporter of ours or persons under our employ was ever killed due to politics,” ani pa ng mambabatas.

Isinabit rin ni Matobato si Paolo sa smuggling at ilegal na droga, at maging si Presidente ay itinurong utak sa maraming extrajudicial killings sa Davao mula noon hanggang 2014. Sinabi ni Edgar na dati itong miyembro ng pro-government militia group CAFGU, ngunit sinabi naman ng Philippine Army na wala itong records sa kanila. (Mindanao Examiner)
