Peace nego nagtapos sa Malaysia; negotiators tikom ang bibig sa Sabah standoff

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 28, 2013) – Nagtapos na ang peace negotiations sa pagitan ng pamahalaang Aquino at Moro Islamic Liberation Front na ginawa sa Malaysia at ilang mga kasunduan rin ang nalagadaan.

Sinabi ni MILF chief peace negotiator Mohagher Iqbal na ang dalawang araw na paguusap sa Kuala Lumpuray sumentro sa  Transitional Arrangements and Modalities na bahagi sa pagbuo ng Bangsamoro region na siyang ipapalit sa Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Maging ang Terms of Reference para sa Independent Commission on Policing ay aprubado na rin, ayon kay Iqbal. Ito ang siyang magbibigay ng rekomendansyon sa dalawang peace panel sa lahat ng isyu na may kinalaman sa police force sa loob ng Bangsamoro homeland.

Hindi naman sinabi ni Iqbal o ng sinuman sa peace panel ng pamahalaan kung napagusapan ang Sabah standoff sa pagitan ng Sultanate of Sulu and North Borneo at Malaysia na halos isang buwan na. Ito’y matapos na magtungo sa bayad ng Lahad Datu ang daan-daang mnga miyembro ng Sultanate upang panindigan ang kanilang karapatan sa Sabah na pagaari ng Sultanate of Sulu.

Ibinigay ng Brunei sa Sultanate of Sulu ang Sabah na noon ay North Borneo pa ang pangalan bilang regalo dahil sa pagtulong nitong magapi ang rebelyon doon. (Mindanao Examiner)
