Photos in the News: Radio commentator Alberto Martinez, who survived an assassination attempt nearly a decade ago, but was paralyzed from the waist down, passed away on January 15, 2015 without seeing justice.
Martinez is shown here talking to journalists when he was still alive at his safe house in Mindanao. Martinez needed to hide to protect his life following the 2005 assassination attempt.
