
PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 18, 2014) – Police arrested three people, including a teenager after they were caught carrying gun in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur.
Police said a 17-year old resident of Santa Lucia village was apprehended by a police patrol along Pajares Street in Pagadian City over the weekend. Police said the teener is facing criminal charges for possessing an unlicensed hand gun.
Police said the .38-caliver revolver was sent to the laboratory for ballistic examination to determine if it had been used in unsolved murders in Pagadian. Gun attacks and armed robberies are frequent here.
A 53-year old man, Enriquito Daniel, was also arrested in the village of Kapatagan in Vicenter Sagun town after police spotted him carrying a 9mm pistol loaded with 5 bullets.
Police said a .45-caliber pistol and 7 bullets were also confiscated from the Camsali Borda, 43, during an inspection at a checkpoint in Zamboanga del Sur’s San Pablo town. Borda was with the other men – Asrenerio Laresma and Jhomar Pantaleon – who were travelling on a motorcycle.
Illegal drugs were also seized from the trio, according to the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
