
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police arrested four people during an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, officials said Sunday.
Officials said policemen, led by Superintendent Ariel Huesca, also seized crystal meth or locally known as shabu and a hand grenade, including a 9mm pistol, ammunition and over P1.7 million in cash, believed to be drug money in Recodo village.
Huesca’s group also confiscated a van and pick-up truck following a chase in the village of December 26. Several people managed to escape from the sting.
Those arrested were identified as Larsam Salih, 31; Agnan Garil, 41; and Samir Alawi, 23; and Asani Saylama, 47. Police said the four were being investigated. (Mindanao Examiner)
