PAGADIAN CITY – Police arrested a notorious hired killer and his partner, who is a drug pusher, in an operation in Pagadian City in the southern Philippine province of Zamboanga del Sur, officials said Monday.
Officials said criminal charges have been filed against Ramil Bulat-Ag Martinito and Jiolgin Rose Mary Torres. Policemen also seized four .45-caliber pistols and ammunition from Matinito, and illegal drugs called shabu, from Torres.
The two were nabbed at a pizza house after informants tipped off the police about their presence.
Senior Superintendent Sofronio Ecaldre, the provincial police chief, said the arrest of the Martinito and Torres involved members of the city and provincial police forces, and Provincial Public Safety Battalion and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group.
He said Martinito was behind a series of killings in Pagadian City and in Zamboanga del Sur. (Mindanao Examiner)
