
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 27, 2014) – Police are searching for a man who ws accused of exploding a small improvised bomb used in illegal fishing on a coastal village in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.
Police identified the man as Aktive Jainuddin, who was reportedly drank when he tossed the explosive in a vacant lot at Purok 4 in Sitio Tawi-Tawi in Taluksangay village.
“Initial investigation disclosed that Jainuddin who was under the influence of liquor, without any reason, threw an improvised explosive that is normally used for dynamite fishing at a vacant lot at the area,” police said.
There was no report of damage to structure or injuries from the explosion and that Jainuddin fled before policemen could arrive in the area. (Mindanao Examiner)
