Police kill 2 men who robbed woman in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Jan. 9, 2013) – Two men who earlier robbed a woman were killed by policemen in an alleged clash Wednesday afternoon following a long chase that ended in a bushy area in Zamboanga City in the southern Philippines, reports said.

It said police recovered a hand gun from one of the slain men. The identities of those killed were not immediately known, however one of them had different tattoos on his body.

But radio station dzRZ-Radyo Agong reported that the motorcycle gunmen robbed a woman of her bag in the village called San Jose and escaped towards downtown area where policemen chased them on prowl cars and motorcycles.

It was unknown whether the two men were involved in gun attacks and other crimes in Zamboanga City. (Mindanao Examiner)
