DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 19, 2014) – Police were searching for two assailants who shot and killed a man in the southern Philippine city of Dipolog.
The two gunmen shot 36-year old Reyman Keith Sy in the village of Galas. The victim was riding on a motorcycle with his two companions – Llyod Bantillan, 28; and Janillo Cayuna, 24, – when he was shot by one of the motorcycle gunmen who tailed them.
Police said the trio just came from a cockpit arena and heading home when the gunmen attacked Sy. Investigators recovered at least 8 bullet casings fired from a .45-caliber pistol.
Police did not say of Sy’s companions were hurt or not in the shooting. The motive of the killing is still unknown. (Mindanao Examiner)
