CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Police have yet to release a cartographic sketch of three gunmen who killed a radio broadcaster in Ozamiz City in southern Philippines.
The gunmen repeatedly shot Cosme Maestrado on August 27 while he was talking to a man outside a shopping center. The killers fled on two motorcycles after the broad daylight attack.
Police were also looking into security videos in the area where Maestrado had been killed. The footage reportedly captured the attack on the broadcaster and police are expected to come up with the sketch of the gunmen.
The motive of the murder is still unknown, but the attack came barely a week after an unidentified gunman also killed 65-year old Gregorio Ybañes, president of the Davao del Norte Press and Radio Club, in Tagum City also in southern Philippines.
Ybañes was shot outside his house and his murder remains unsolved. (Mindanao Examiner)
