ZAMBOANGA CITY – A policewoman was gored by a bull while trying to rescue a six-year old boy from the raging animal that already injured three other people in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said Thursday.
Police said SPO1 Sylvia Dicen was impaled through the stomach by the bull in Putik village. The boy and three other victims – Joseph Pulad, 34; Sarah Jean Seballos, 20; and another teenager – were all rushed to hospital. All suffered multiple injuries.
The condition of the officer is unknown. The bull, owned by village council member Mariano Nolia, was to be slaughtered when it ran wild and attacked villagers.
The animal was eventually killed for food. (Mindanao Examiner)
