
MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / June 28, 2014) – The Professional Regulation Commission said only 11,225 out of 29,188 have passed the 2014 Nurse Licensure Examination.
The examination, given in May by the Board of Nursing, were held in the cities of Manila, Bacolod, Baguio, Cabanatuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
The members of the Board of Nursing were Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Leonila A. Faire, Betty F. Merritt, Perla G. Po, Marco Antonio C. Sto.Tomas, Yolanda C. Arugay and Amelia B. Rosales, Members.
PRC said all those who passed the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.
It said registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will soon be announced.
Those who will register are required to bring the following – duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate, 1 piece passport size picture colored with white background and complete name tag, 2 sets of metered documentary stamps and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2014-2017.
