
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Aug. 20, 2013) – Police filed murder charges against a prime suspect in the killing of a fish trader in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, officials said Tuesday.
Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca, a regional police spokesman, said the charges were filed against Shabry Nhubin Hinnang, who was arrested in July in his house in Talon-Talon village.
Hinnang was accused of killing Giovanni Almazan. The 46-year old trader was shot in the head .
“The case was formally filed in court at the Sala of Honorable Peter V. Eisma, presiding judge of Regional Trial court 9th Judicial Region in Zamboanga City and docketed under Criminal Case number 28151 with no bail bond recommended. Hence, accused was committed to Zamboanga City Reformatory Center,” Huesca said. (Mindanao Examiner)
