
CEBU – “New Vistas for the Provincial Press” is the central theme of the 50th founding anniversary of the Federation of Provincial Press Clubs of the Philippines, Inc. scheduled from January 15 to 18 at the Aklan State University and Boracay Island.
Some 150 media members from different parts of the country will gather and discuss what opportunities and challenges lie ahead for the provincial press during the historic event.
Attending the meet are press club presidents, officers, members, broadcasters, publishers, editors, opinion writers, reporters, online editors and other digital journalists, photojournalists, writers, book authors from the academe, public information officers, corporate communication executives, Filipino journalists working abroad, college editors, and other media-related practitioners.
The occasion also coincides with the celebration of the Ati-tihan Festival in Aklan which starts on January 13.
