
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police arrested a man who shot dead a radio operator of a canning factory in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines.
Police said Alvin Sailama was arrested hours after he allegedly killed Alexander Silaya in Recodo village. Illegal drugs and a .45-caliber pistol were also seized from Sailama during a raid in Malagutay village.
Silaya, who worked for Universal Fishing Corporation, was shot in the forehead on the night of December 2.
Police are investigating the killing of Silaya. It did not say whether the suspect admitted killing Silaya. (Mindanao Examiner)
