PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 3, 2014) – The Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga del Sur-Pagadian City Chapter said it collected more than 33,000 cc of blood during a mass donation held at the City Commercial Center Mall here.
Chapter Administrator Hildaliza Muñoz said 75 people donated the blood which coincided with the celebration of the National Blood Donor Month. She said most f the blood donors were trainees from the 1st Infantry Division, cadets from the Reserved Officers’ Training Corps of different schools here and residents.
Muños expressed her gratitude to those who donated their blood, saying it will save a lot of lives, especially those who need blood transfusion.
She said the celebration of the National Blood Donor Month also lined up various trainings and seminars in different schools and among these are Standard First Aid and Basic life Support and International Humanitarian Law. (Jong Cadion and Ely Dumaboc)
