Road Mishap: 2 sundalo dedo, 1 sugatan

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Dalawang sundalo ang nasawi habang sugatan naman ang tatlong iba pa matapos na mahulog sa bangin ang sinasakyan nilang dump truck sa Sitio Kawayan, Barangay Meocan sa bayan ng Arakan, North Cotabato, Huwebes ng umaga.

Kinilala ang mga nasawi na sina Private First Class Joemar Tan at Corporal Vincent Sarona na mga kasapi ng 19th IB ng Philippine Army.

Ayon kay Police Senior Inspector Jun Napat, ang hepe ng Arakan PNP galing ng barangay Dallag ang nasabing dumptruck na pag-aari ng pamahalaang lokal ng bayan ng Arakan.

Pagdating nang dumptruck sa Sitio kawayan ng Barangay Meocan nakasalubong nito ang isang motorsiklo dahilan upang kanilang iwasan.

Pero dahil sa madulas ang kalsada bunsod ng malakas na buhos ng ulan nitong Miyerkules sa nasabing lugar, di na umano naikabeg pabalik ng drayber ang manibela.

Hanggang sa tuluyang nahulog ang sasakyan sa may 50 talampakang lalim ng bangin, dakong alas-9:45 ng umaga.

Napuruhan umano si Tan, pero mabilis itong isinugod ng mga rumesponde sa lugar pero binawian ng buhay sa Municipal Health Services Office Arakan dakong alas-11:00 ng umaga.

Habang dinala naman sa Madonna General Hospital sa Kidapawan City si Sarona, pero binawian din ng buhay dakong alas-12:00 ng tanghali.

Tatlo pang mga kasamahan nila kasama ang drayber ay dinala sa nabanggit na ospital na patuloy namang ginagamot.

Ikinalungkot naman si Lt. Col. Ehrlich Noel Paraso ang commanding officer ng 19th IB ang maagang pagkamatay ng kanyang mga tauhan.
