Sa inyo na ang reward ni Usman: MILF

MAGUINDANAO – Tulad ng inaasahan ay inako ng militar ang tagumpay sa pagkakapatay sa notoryosong bomber na si Abdul Basit Usman, ngunit iba-iba naman ang naging pahayag ng Philippine Army at ng Armed Forces of the Philippines ukol sa pagkakapaslang sa terorista.

Si Usman ay pinatay ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front sa ilalim ni Commander Baroq sa bayan ng Guindulungan sa Maguindanao province kamakailan at kinumpirma ito ng rebeldeng grupo. Sa katunayan ay sinabi ni Ghazali Jaafar, ang MILF Vice Chairman, na hindi sila interesado sa reward na alok ng pamahalaang Aquino at Estados Unidos.

“Hindi kami interesado sa reward at kahit ibigay pa nila ito sa MILF ay hindi naman tatanggapin,” ani Jaafar.

Napatay umano si Usman matapos na magkaroon ng sagupaan sa pagitan ng grupo nito at ng MILF 118th Base Command. Pinatunayan lamang ng MILF na hindi nila sasantuhin si Usman kung ito’y magagawi sa kanilang teritoryo.

Wanted si Usman ng mga awtoridad at ng Estados Unidos na nag-alok ng $1 milyong bounty sa ulo ng terorista.

Ngunit sa pahayag ng 6th Infantry Division ay sinabi nito na dahil sa kanilang operasyon ay na-pressure si Usman na lumabas sa kanyang taguan at dahil umano sa reward money kung bakit ito pinatay ng kanyang kapwa.

“Prior information received connotes that there had already been misunderstanding and mistrust among Usman and some of his members after continuous military operations were conducted for the past months which gave pressure to the group. Reports manifest that the trust among Usman’s followers was fueled over burned out locations and operations of the group to military forces and for the tussle for the huge bounty that was put on his the head,” ani pa ng 6th Infantry Division.

Subali’t sa bersyon naman ng Armed Forces ay sinabi nito na mismong bodyguard ni Usman na isang military informer ang pumatay sa kanya. Binansagan naman ng isang commander ng MILF ang mga pahayag ng militar na psy-ops (psychological operations)  at psy-war (psychological warfare) at tinawag pang credit-grabber ang mga pinuno ng Philippine Army at Armed Forces dahil sa kanilang mga pahayag.

Naunang inakusahan ng militar at pulisya ang MILF na siyang nagkakanlong kay Usman na dating commander ng naturang grupo.

Nanindigan ang MILF na sila ang pumaslang kay Usman at pinayagan pa nila na makunan ng finger prints at DNA sample ang bangkay nito bago ilibing ng naaayon sa Islam. Dapat ay sa loob ng 24 oras mailibing na ang bangkay nito. (Mindanao Examiner)
