Police said Abdullah Ussih was linked to the kidnappings of foreigners in the restive southern region.
Ussih denied all accusations against him, but police said the man operated in Sulu and Basilan provinces and was involved in the kidnappings of 21 mostly European holiday-makers in a cross-border raid in Malaysia
Intelligence reports also accused Ussih in the kidnappings of US and Filipino citizens in Mindanao . (Mindanao Examiner)
