ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / July 26, 2013) – Police on Friday arrested a salesman of a local shop after he allegedly robbed his employer and tried to escape in his hometown in the southern Philippines, officials said.
Officials said Leo Ligutum, a native of Tampilisan town in Zamboanga del Norte province, was pounced by policemen as he was about to get in a bus in the village of Guiwan.
Policemen recovered as much P30,000 from his bag which was believed part of his loot.
Ligutum’s employer, a Taiwanese businessman, was not immediately available to give a statement about the suspect’s arrest. (Dodong Ramos)
