
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / June 21, 2013) – The Department of Trade and Industry has owners of small and medium enterprises and aspiring entrepreneurs to take advantage of its roving academy scheduled to roll across Western Mindanao region starting on July 1 up to July 19.
Regional trade director Nazrullah Manzur said the launching of the SME Roving Academy would be held in Dipolog City in Zamboanga del Norte province on July 1 and 2 in time for the launching are Business accounting made easy and Marketing eco-tourism – product packaging to include destination events and promo materials preparation.
He said the SME Roving Academy aims to bring down to the provincial level learning programs such as training and seminar workshops designed to promote entrepreneurship, develop key competencies in searching for business opportunities, product development, marketing, finance, as well as ways to improve productivity and efficiency in their business operations.
He said Pagadian City will be next on July 3 and 4 with the following training – Quality and Productivity Management in Manufacturing and Internet Marketing with fraud detection.
And on July 5-6, the roving academy will be in Ipil town in Zamboanga Sibugay province for the following training – Quality and Productivity Management in Rubber Production and Processing and Quality and Productivity Management in Abaca Production and Processing.
He said Visual Merchandising Training and Workshop is tentatively scheduled in Zamboanga City on July 16-17 while the Quality and Productivity Management in Rubber Production and Processing training is also tentatively scheduled in Isabela City in Basilan province on July 19.
