
The simple celebration, whose theme “Tuloy ang Pagbabago at Pag-unlad,” was simultaneously held in the different parts of the country.
Jasmin Albelda, Social Work and Development team leader, said social workers and employees had sports and parlor games. She also praised the dedication of the social workers in doing their jobs to help the poor.
“DSWD is really dedicated to the delivery of its various services and programs to help the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged sectors of the society and improve their quality of life,” Albelda said.
Cherlita Garate, Provincial Social Work and Development Officer, reminded social workers of “CHARMING,” the acronym for Commitment, being Humane in treating clients, paying Attention to clients and colleagues, Resourcefulness, being a Model in behavior, having an Initiative, saying No sometimes, and putting God as the center of their lives to help them do their jobs.
