Student won P500K playing Scratchit

MALOLOS, BULACAN – What was supposed to be a curiosity makes a student to be winning the jackpot prize.

A 23-year-old student from the Bulacan province became an instant entrepreneur after winning a Ruby prize worth P500,000 at a Scratchit card game.

The winner is named James Angelo. bought two cards worth P20 each at a lotto outlet Plaridel, Bulacan. After scratching one of the cards, he instantly won the jackpot money. He said he will use the prize to establish his own business.

Scratchit card games are popularized by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). A bettor could win as much as P1 million just by paying a P20 bet.

James Angelo bet and instantly won the prize last May 24, 2025.

He added that he just see play the Scratchit sometimes.

“Play (Scratchit) until you win! Thank you PCSO,” he said after receiving the prize money. (PR)
