SULU – Governor Totoh Tan on Wednesday led the distribution Wednesday of Philippine Health Insurance cards to senior citizens in the southern Filipino province of Sulu.
Tan said all senior citizens are now automatically primary member of PhilHealth and would also enjoy the benefits and privileges offered by Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.
The distribution of health cards coincided with the 104th Anniversary of the municipality of Jolo, the capital of Sulu, where Tan was the guest of honor.
Tan also inspected Jolo’s newly-built and huge social hall where anniversary festivities for the Sulu’s premiere town is being held.
Jolo Mayor Hussin Amin thanked the governor for his continued support to the development of the town. Amin, who also gave his executive report in a ceremony held at the Jolo Livelihood Training Center.
Tan also praised the leadership of Amin and his vice mayor Edsir Tan and other members of the municipal council and village chieftains for their support to the provincial leadership. (Franzie Sali)
