Surigao del Sur inuga ng lindol

PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Nov. 3, 2012) – Niyanig ng lindol nitong Sabado ng madaling araw ang malaking bahagi ng Surigao del Sur, ngunit wala naman inulat na sugatan o pinsala sa mga gusali sa naturang lalawigan.

Sa ulat ng U.S. Geological Survey ay sinabi nutong umabot sa magnitude 6.1 ang lindol at natunton ito halos 87 kilometro mula sa Butuan City. Ngunit sa inilabas na bulletin ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology ay magnitude 6.5 naman ang lakas ng pagyanig.

Ang pinagmulan ng lindol ay halos 78 kilometro naman ang layo, ayon pa sa Philvocs at naramdaman rin ito sa Tandag City. Walang inilabas na tsunami warning ang ahensya.

Nuong nakaraang lingo lamang ay sunod-sunod rin niyanig ng lindol ang na niyanig ang Surigao del Norte. Natunton rin ang ang sentro  ng lindol halos 104 kilometro mula sa bayan ng Burgos.

Ang Pilipinas ay nasa tinatawag na “Pacific ring of fire” na kung saan ay nasa ilalim ng karagatan ng bansa ang napakaraming mga bulkan na isang dahilan sa patuloy na pagyanig sa ibat-ibang bahagi ng bansa. (Mindanao Examiner)
