
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec, 23, 2013) – A suspected drug pusher was shot and wounded by unidentified gunmen in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said Mohammad Samson, 26, was discovered by a civilian on Monday after being shot the previous night in the coastal village of Recodo, notorious for its drug problems.
Samson, a native of Zamboanga del Norte’s Sirawai town, was shot twice with a .45-caliber pistol, but managed to escape from his assailant by hiding in the neighborhood until he was discovered by a woman, who immediately called the police.
The wounded man was rushed to the hospital. The identity of the attacker is still unknown, according to the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
