Syria regime’s heinous crimes flayed – Arab News – Arab News

Editor March 22, 2016

The Cabinet has condemned the Syrian regime for “continued violations in the country including breaking the cease-fire and preventing food and medical supplies from reaching besieged communities.”
The Cabinet meeting, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday, called on the international community to “force the Syrian regime and its allies to observe the cease-fire, end the daily violations of the truce and facilitate the arrival of humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people,” according to SPA.
The “crimes committed by the Syrian regime and its agents” has resulted in the death of 400,000 people, injury of nearly 1 million and displacement of more than 12 million, the Cabinet said in its statement.
The Cabinet welcomed the partial withdrawal of Russian troops from Syria as “a positive step, expressing hope that this withdrawal contributes to accelerating the pace of the political process based on the Geneva 1 declaration and compelling Assad’s regime to make concessions necessary to achieve the political transition …”
The Cabinet further condemned the terrorist attacks in Istanbul and the suicide bombing in the capital of Borno state in Nigeria, and stated that the Kingdom denounced terrorism in all its forms(Arab News)
