MANILA (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 15, 2013) – Police filed charges against 14 arrested members of a notorious drug syndicate in Taguig City, officials said.

Officials said among those charged in court was a former policeman. They were arrested during a raid by members of the Taguig City Police Office and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the village Ususan.

Senior Superintendent Arthur Felix Asis, acting city police chief, said they are still tracking down other suspects who managed to escape.

Just last month, police in Taguig also arrested 19 drug suspects, including five who were on a target list.
