Tainted candy, sino ang may sala?

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Sino nga ba ang may kasalanan sa pagkalat ng durian candy na siyang naging sanhi ng pagkalason ng halos 2000 estudyante sa Surigao del Sur province at ilang lugar sa rehiyon, habang kinasuhan na kahapon ng awtoridad ang 9 na umano’y vendors nito.

Ngunit hindi naman mabatid kung sino talaga ang nasa likod nito o kung galing ba sa China ang mga sangkap ng candy, subalit ayon sa mga ulat ay natunton umano ang gumawa nito sa Davao City.

Bukod sa durian candy ay sinakitan rin ng sikmura ang marami sa kinaing mangosteen candy noon nakaraang lingo.Kamakalawa lamang ay halos 2 dosenang estudyante rin ng Kidapawan Pilot Elementary School ang nabiktima ng food poisoning at kaparehong mga candy rin ang kanilang kinain.

Hawak na umano ng Regional Trial Court Branch 27 sa Tandag City ang kaso ng food poisoning na isinampa sa 9 vendors. Nagpatawag rin ng imbestigasyon si Surigao del Sur Governor Johnny Pimentel ukol sa naganap.

Umabot rin ang mga candy sa Surigao Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur at Kidapawan City.

Hindi pa inilalabas ng Department of Health at Food and Drug Administration ang resulta ng kanilang laboratory examination sa mga candy upang mabatid kung ano ang sangkap nito. Posibleng na-repack ang mga candy kung kaya’t naging kontaminado o maaaring expired ang mga ito. (Mindanao Examiner)
