COTABATO CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 12, 2013) – Popular support for United Nationalist Alliance gubernatorial candidate Datu Tocao Mastura and his vice-gubernatorial bet Datu Ali Midtimbang in Maguindanao province continue to pour as more and more people rally behind them and their slate.
Maguindanao’s 2nd District Congressman Simeon Datumanong also gave his full support to the leadership of Team UNA, as well as its ally mayors and assemblymen.
“Let us be united for us to achieve all what we dreamt and wanted,” Mastura, the incumbent mayor of Sultan Kudarat, told his supporters during a recent campaign rally in Pagagawan and Pagalungan town. The rally was attended by a huge crowd who chanted the names of Mastura and Midtimbang.
Mastura said his platform of government would include all sectors in the province. “A good leader will always know how to listen to his followers, and that we can assure you and with our belief that in Allah’s blessings, we can lead and give the province a new face of hope,” he said.
The local Team UNA also expressed its total support to the Bangsamoro Framework that peace negotiators from the Aquino government and Moro Islamic Liberation Front signed in October last year. (Jam Compania and Harris Ma)
