ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Oct. 26, 2013) – A 35-year old man was injured after a 13-year old boy driving a motorcycle hit him on a busy road in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said the boy was also injured from the accident which occurred in the village of Putik. It said the victim, Albert Salvador, and the boy were both rushed to hospital.
Police are investigating why the boy was driving was driving a motorcycle which is illegal under Philippine laws. Minors are not allowed to drive any vehicles until they reach the legal age of 18.
It was unknown whether the boy’s family was aware the minor is illegally driving the motorcycle. The man was crossing the road when the motorcycle hit him.(Mindanao Examiner)
