‘Terrorists will face justice’ – Arab News

Desk Editor February 2, 2016

The Cabinet condemned on Monday last week’s attack on a mosque in Al-Ahsa and promised that they would continue efforts to track down and prosecute terrorists and their supporters.

These people were acting without conscience and any respect for life, which was contrary to Islamic and humanitarian principles, the ministers said at a Cabinet meeting held at Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, SPA reported.
The ministers praised the country’s security agencies for work done to expose those who had targeted worshippers at the Emergency Forces Mosque in Asir in August last year.
At the outset of the Cabinet meeting, King Salman briefed the Cabinet on the outcome of the phone calls he received from the German chancellor and British prime minister.
He also provided details of his meetings with the Turkish premier, commander of the United States’ central command, the Indonesian and Malaysian defense ministers, and Brunei’s deputy defense minister. King Salman said growing ties with these nations would assist in achieving peace and stability in the world.
On the Syrian issue, the ministers voiced the Kingdom’s support for the decision of the High Negotiating Commission of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition forces in Riyadh to participate in peace negotiations based on the United Nations’ Security Council Resolution 2254.
The Cabinet welcomed the announcement made by the Coalition Command in Yemen to form a high-level independent team of specialized senior officers, advisers and experts to assess incidents. The Coalition also rejected media reports claiming that its bombing sorties in Yemen were targeting civilians.(ARAB NEWS)
