PAGADIAN CITY – The 1st Infantry Division has announced Saturday that it is now recruiting and processing applications for Candidate Soldier Course.
Captain Franco Suelto, an army spokesman, said those who are interested to apply must be 18- 26 years old and at least high school graduate, and at least 5 feet tall.
He said applicants must have taken the Philippine Army Aptitude Test Battery with score of at least 80 and should be without any obvious physical deformities or tattoo, ear piercing, penile implant or other body modification. Applicants, he said, must not be married or has never sired a child and should have a good moral character.
Suelto said applicants are advised to register and attend the pre-screening for the basic requirements at the headquarters of the 1stInfantry Division at Camp Major L. Sang-an in the village of Pulacan in Zamboanga del Sur’s Labangan town from February 16 and 17.
He said applicants must also secure and bring along with them the following documents – Birth Certificate from the National Statistics Office and should be accompanied by an official receipt and also Form 137 for High School graduates or Transcript of Records for those who are in college or graduate of college and Philippine Army Aptitude Test Battery result.
Suelto said those who are interested to join the army may also call the Division Recruitment Hotline at 0908-8119322 and 0917-7034866. (Mindanao Examiner)
