PAGADIAN CITY (Mindanao Examiner / May 24, 2014) – A local trader was shot and killed by two gunmen in the town of Tukuran in Zamboanga del Sur province, police said on Saturday.
Police said the 53-year old Juanita Rasonable was attacked at Purok 8 in Sambulawan village. The gunmen escaped after the shooting.
It said village chieftain Estanislao Cabog phoned authorities about the shooting. Police said the woman was heading to their farm to bring food to her husband when the assailants attacked her. She was shot several times.
Police said the motive of the attack is still unknown and that an investigation has been launched into the murder. (Mindanao Examiner)
