“Water level at the Pasonanca diversion dam is above normal at 75.10 meters – normal elevation is 74.20 meters – thus people residing in identified highly susceptible flood areas are advised to take necessary precautionary measures,” ani Climaco.

“Scattered rains in Zamboanga City has caused flooding and life-threatening situations in some barangays. In this case, school authorities in coordination with the barangay councils concerned, CDRRMO and Barangay Affairs Office, should exercise discretion on class and work suspension at the barangay level. Safety and protection of the people particularly students should be our primordial concern. Let us remain vigilant and be involved in disaster preparedness,” dagdag pa ni Climaco.

(Mindanao Examiner)
