Veteran movie and television producer Marc Johnson, who has worked with filmmakers including Michael Moore and Spike Lee, was questioned and released by police Monday after a married mother of three was found dead in New York City, the NYPD confirmed to FOX411.
Kiersten Rickenbach Cerveny, a 38-year-old dermatologist from Long Island, was discovered unconscious in the city’s Chelsea neighborhood early Sunday morning and later pronounced dead, the NYPD confirmed.
Cerveny and Johnson were friends on Facebook.
A resident described how paramedics tried to revive Cerveny.
“She came out topless. Her face was white and her lips were blue. They were doing chest compressions,” the resident told the Post.
Results of Cerveny’s autopsy are not yet available.
Calls and emails to Johnson and his lawyer were not returned.
Police are also looking for a second man, the Post reports.
Johnson worked with Michael Moore on his television series “The Awful Truth” in 2000, and is currently involved with the dramatic series “The Deuce” featuring James Franco, according to his iMDB page.
Cerveny was the former winner of the Junior Miss pageant, also known as The Distinguished Young Women program. The group issued a statement on Monday saying she “was a stunning and intelligent young woman, destined for greatness even before she captivated the hearts of America in Mobile, Ala. We will always remember her warmth, her laughter and her desire to make a difference in this world!”(Fox News)
