ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE (Mindanao Examiner / Feb. 3, 2012) – Mining firm TVI Resource Development (Phils.) Inc. said it has developed a “responsible miner scorecard” that shows its “award-winning” record in environment management and protection, community development, indigenous peoples’ relations and economic support to local government and host communities in the southern Philippines.
TVIRD said the accomplishments showed the firm as a top partner in local development.
“We have clearly invested in the community and its welfare. As this scorecard will show, TVIRD is not just a major contributor to the local economy through our taxes but to the general development and protection of our host community, the local government units and the Subanons.”
“We are the government’s partner in development and we will continue to be one as we pursue more minerals development projects in Zamboanga Pensinsula and other nearby locations. TVIRD has been a responsible miner, is a responsible miner, and will always be a responsible miner,” Eugene T. Mateo, President of TVIRD, said.
TVIRD maintains a mining site in Mount Canatuan in Zamboanga del Norte’s Siocon town.
