DIPOLOG CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Apr. 19, 2014) – Philippine police briefly held a Malaysian national after the foreigner disrespected an airport security in the southern city of Dipolog, officials said Saturday.

Officials said Teck Chon Low was stopped at the pre-departure area by Reyna Cantilla after six disposable gas lighters were found in the bag of the foreigner. Cantilla informed the Malaysian that lighters are prohibited in the plane, but the foreigner suddenly threw all of it on the inspection table and disrespected the officers.

Other airport security men tried to pacify the Malaysian, but he continued to be unruly and even more when he was not allowed to board a Philippine Air Lines flight for Manila by the airline manager Raymund Baylon because of his behavior.

The foreigner was eventually released to his Filipina fiancée Jorgie Bitonga Rabong after Cantilla did not pursue if filing charges against the Malaysian. (Mindanao Examiner)
