THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Jambangan (UPJ), a duly-recognized regional organization for Zamboanga Peninsula students in UP Diliman, brings you the most awaited regional competition in Zamboanga Peninsula, the UP Jambangan Summit 2015 with this year’s theme, “EXPLORE: Recognizing Educational Opportunities to Optimize Youth’s Potential towards Regional Development.”
This will be held on January 9 and 10 at Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Zamboanga City.
Be excited as different competitive high schools students all over Zamboanga Peninsula gather together to battle wits and talents to bring pride and honor to their school.
This summit is a two-day event which consists of a series of contests on the first day such as the Jambangan Quiz Bee, On-the-spot Essay Writing Contest, and Poster Making Contest. COUPLE, which stands for Career Orientation and UP Life Experience, a whole day career orientation will be held the following day at the said university.
The summit aims to provide a good opportunity for a healthy competition and an avenue for camaraderie among students. It also aims to promote UP education, its admission process, courses offered and their overviews, and tips of how to survive college in UP.
To join in the series of events, schools are welcome to confirm their participation until January 9 through the organization’s email address. Walk-in participants are also accepted. This summit is fully endorsed by the Department of Education Region IX.
