Vertiv Academy Opens in Manila, Equipping Engineers for the Future of Digital Infrastructure

Editor April 23, 2025

Modern facility to support the training and enablement of current and future engineers in Asia

MANILA – Recognizing the critical role engineers play in building the future of digital infrastructure, Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, today launched the Vertiv Academy, a state-of-the-art training facility designed to educate, empower, and equip both current and future engineers with hands-on experience in Vertiv’s power and cooling solutions.

Located in Mandaluyong City, the Vertiv Academy is an advanced regional hub developing technical expertise across Vertiv’s product portfolio. The facility provides Vertiv engineers, channel partners, and aspiring professionals with immersive, hands-on training using real equipment, providing a valuable opportunity for first-hand experience in field service and solution deployment. While based in Manila, the Academy is positioned to support engineers across Asia.

Each Vertiv Academy delivers specialized courses led by certified technical trainers, following a standardized curriculum developed by Vertiv’s Global Learning Center of Excellence. The program combines online pre-learning, interactive classroom instruction, and structured field training tailored to local and regional needs.

“Our people are the heart of our innovation,” said Paul Churchill, president and general manager, Vertiv Asia. “The Vertiv Academy reflects our long-term commitment to developing world-class engineering talent, not just to support our growth but to help shape the future of digital infrastructure across the region. Investing in our people and their expertise strengthens the foundation for scalable, resilient, and environmentally responsible digital ecosystems.”

In conjunction with the Vertiv Academy launch, the company also unveiled the Vertiv Customer Experience Center (CEC), an interactive, hands-on showroom that brings Vertiv’s technology to life. Designed to go beyond traditional displays and aligned with the rest of the Vertiv CEC facilities worldwide, the Manila hub allows customers, partners, and learners to explore Vertiv’s scalable and sustainable solutions through live demonstrations, guided tours, and expert consultations.

“The Vertiv Academy is more than just a training center—it’s a launchpad for the next generation of industry professionals,” added Andrew Whall, vice president of operations, Vertiv Asia. “From in-depth product simulations to globally recognized certifications, we’re enabling engineers to meet the evolving demands of data centers, telecom networks, and enterprise IT. And with the Customer Experience Center, we’re giving our customers an opportunity to experience Vertiv innovation at the start of their exploration and buying journey.”

The launch of the Vertiv Academy and Customer Experience Center forms a key part of Vertiv’s broader regional expansion strategy following recent investments in modern offices, customer engagement hubs, and workforce growth initiatives. Together, these facilities reaffirm Vertiv’s

commitment to empowering people, advancing engineering excellence, and accelerating digital transformation. Engineers, industry professionals, and business leaders are invited to explore the Vertiv Academy and Customer Experience Center to see how Vertiv is shaping the future of digital infrastructure.
