
ZAMBOANGA CITY – Filinvest Land Inc. in Zamboanga, FERNDALE International School and Jollibee partnered for a worthy get-up-and-go with their “Walk and Run for a Cause” held recently in Zamboanga City.
With the theme: “One Mind, One Heart, One Voice,” the event was participated by high school students who started with a 5 a.m. walk and run from Jollibee Veterans Avenue with the final rendezvous at Villa San Ignacio – Filivest Clubhouse.
Special education students, kindergarten and those in Grades 1, 2, 3 and 4 along with their parents and guardians joined the event.
Dance competitions were also held among students in preschool, intermediate and high school levels at the basketball court culminating with a game between the high school varsity team and the parents.
In between basketball competitions, guests relaxed at the clubhouse and enjoyed the food, fun and games provided by Jollibee while brokers toured others around Villa San Ignacio.
Students, parents and guests had a grand time under the hosting and guidance of masters of ceremonies Joe James M. Alob and Brave Angelo Cayanong.
The walk-run for a cause was just one of many in a series of events hosted by Villa San Ignacio which puts it in the mainstream of Asia’s Latin City.
Just in May, Villa San Ignacio also participated in a job fair at Western Mindanao State University in coordination with Department of Labor and Employment and the business sector. This was followed by a series of week-end open house events for the whole month of May where guests were invited to take a firsthand look and feel of Villa San Ignacio.
Regular open house activities were conducted in June in coordination with Ateneo de Zamboanga University High School campus headed by Principal Conrado Balatbat.
Another big event was the McDonald’s Kiddie Crew graduation, a fun-filled day with games and dances at the VSI Clubhouse with lunch provided by McDonalds followed by field trips to the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Tetuan village and Pasonanca Butterfly Farm and the Edwin Andrews Airbase in Santa Maria village.
Not the least, the Villa San Ignacio hosted a family fun day for its sales team and their families.
Villa San Ignacio is the first project of Filinvest Land Inc. in Zamboanga City. Its 13.2-hectare housing project can accommodate a community of some 400 residences with a breathtaking view of the famous Mount Pulumbato, one of Zamboanga City’s landmark.
