
ZAMBOANGA CITY (Mindanao Examiner / Dec. 15, 2013) – Motorcycle gunmen shot and wounded a villager on Sunday near a military base in Zamboanga City in southern Philippines, police said.
Police said Adrian Solisa, 27, was shot at the Southcom Village in Upper Calarian. The gunmen fled after the attack.
The motive of the shooting is still unknown and police are investigating the attack on Solisa, who was shot in the back. He was rushed to the hospital after the gunmen escaped.
Gun attacks are common in Zamboanga and authorities largely blamed hired killers as behind the attacks. (Mindanao Examiner)
