PAGADIAN CITY – Police are searching for a man who shot and killed a 52-year old mother in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur province.
Police said Lilian Real was shot in the face by Gil Benabaye, 42, during a heated argument in the village of Manga. The gunman fled after the shooting, leaving behind the bloodied woman.
It was unknown what triggered the argument, but police said a manhunt for Benabaye was launched immediately after the killing which occurred on January 16.
Police said two bullet casings were recovered by homicide investigators from the crime scene.
The body of the slain woman was brought to the morgue, according to the police. (Mindanao Examiner)
